Rachel is one of the most passionate people about our public education systems that I have had the pleasure to work with. She is a true leader and delivers results. I have witnessed her skills on display in PTO and Team 112 activities. She always shows up, has positive energy and creative but realistic ideas. I can't think of a better candidate and she has my full endorsement!

Rachel Berg Scherer would be an impactful member of the school board for Eastern Carver County Schools. She has the communication skills, perspective, and passion for our schools to effectively lead when it comes to educating my three children as well as all current and future ECCS students.

I have known Rachel for approximately 7 years. In that time she has become a fellow business owner I can turn to for professional advice, as well as a friend I can turn to for support. I admire Rachel as a person, a parent, and a former teacher. She has strong ties to this community because she cares about the people she meets.

As an educator, Rachel clearly understands current education concerns in general, but specifically the needs of Eastern Carver County. With her own children in District 112 she is a parent actively involved in supporting the schools. As a student and graduate of our district, she was a self-starter. She even began college a year early. Her positive, outgoing and friendly personality give her a definite advantage in working with people.
~Bev Geffert, retired ECCS educator
Rachel Berg Scherer will be a valuable asset to the school board in District 112. I have witnessed her leadership, passion, and dedication in a couple of different settings. A few years ago, I taught at her children’s school. Rachel was a regular volunteer in classrooms and on the PTO. Her commitment to help the students, teachers, and school community benefited so many people in countless ways. I also know Rachel from church. She was a confirmation guide for 3 years - and she didn’t even have a child in confirmation at the time! Since then, she has taken on numerous leadership roles, volunteered for a variety of youth activities, and served on the church council. With Rachel’s background as an educator, her willingness to dive in and work with others to accomplish goals, and her love of the Eastern Carver County community, she is just the person we need as a member of our school board!
~Kirsten Segar, Chaska

I could not have been more thrilled when I learned Rachel was running for school board. As a former teacher, daughter of educators, and current parent of two children in the district, she is a fierce advocate for public schools. She understands the importance of giving voice to the stories of others. We need someone like Rachel who can really listen to teachers, school staff, and communities to make decisions to best support all. She leads with compassion, humility, and a desire for equality.
